Bathurst Weather

Bathurst weather is different to the towns located along the coast.

The town of Bathurst is at the foot of the Blue Mountains in NSW and by the Great Dividing Range's western slopes. Its inland and southern location in NSW means it experiences a cool climate and occasionally in winter it can have snowfalls.

The hottest month on average in Bathurst is January, with a maximum of 27.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum average of 13.3 degrees.

Its coldest month on average is in July where the temperature reaches a maximum of 11.2 degrees and a minimum of 0.5 degrees. Humidity in Bathurst reaches an average high of 81.7 per cent in May and gets down to 68.5 per cent in November.

In January, Bathurst weather is wettest with an average downpour of 61.9mm. Bathurst weather is driest in April when it experiences an average of 41.7mm rainfall.

Bathurst, a wine growing region, utilises its cooler climate to produce fine cool wines. Every year it hosts the National Cool Climate Wine Show, held at the Bathurst Showgrounds in October.
